This is my take on a Bombe Alaska, featuring a layered core of white chocolate mudcake, chocolate fudge icrecream and raseberry white choce iceream. Decadant as flip, but utterly delish.
*Important Note*
This recipe is completely customisable! You can use whatever flavoured ice cream, mix-ins and cake you like.
Ingredients:
For the frozen core
- 1 pre-made white chocolate mudcake (or woolies mudcake)
- 1 litre of choc-brownie fudge icecream
- 1 litre of white-choc rasberry ripple icecream
- 1 pack of mini chocolate twirls
*i like the idea of some roasted nuts as a mix-in, or even a fruit compote core? Something to cut through the richness...
Swiss meringue (credit to cookbook 'baking & the meaning of life' by Helen Goh)
- 210g caster sugar
- 60ml water
- 140g egg whites (about 4 large eggs)
- 1 tsp lemon juice or cream of tartar
